About the Programme
M.Com. Programme Outcomes
1. Define accounting, finance and management concepts required to be implemented while pursuing academic or professional careers.

Programme Specific Outcomes:
1. Define advanced accounting concepts and apply accounting knowledge with regards to latest developments in the field of accounting.
2. Prepare learners to undertake managerial roles by imparting theoretical knowledge in specialized fields like accounting, finance and taxation for managing business units.
3. Appraise business and finance-related problems with the help of research methods and techniques.
(B) Business Management
1. Define concepts in advertising, marketing, HRM and entrepreneurship.
2. Apply fundamental knowledge in identifying problems while managing business units.
3. Solve business related problems using research methods and techniques.
4. Develop capabilities to pursue career in areas of management, entrepreneurship and international business.

- There are FIVE (5) Courses with 4 Credits each in Semester 1 and 2, having FOUR Core Courses [DSCC] and ONE Optional Course [DSOC].
- Semester 3 will have FIVE Optional Courses with 4 Credits each, of this TWO are Research Specific [RSOC] and THREE are Generic [OGC] Courses.
- Semester 4 have only ONE Research Specific Optional Course [RSOC] and remaining FOUR Courses equivalent are Compulsory Dissertation [DSD].
- The Total Credits and Marks of M. Com Degree Examination of Part I and II shall be 80 Credits and 2000 Marks.
- Optional Courses will be offered only if 20% of the students opt for the Courses and based on the availability of Faculty Members

Eligibility criteria:
(i) Candidates must pass the Bachelor of Commerce degree examination of Goa University or any other recognized University with a minimum of 40% marks.
(ii) The candidates must have appeared for GU-ART admission ranking test conducted by Goa University and obtained an admission rank.
Admission Process
(I) University Counseling Stage
Counseling process for admission takes place at the Goa University campus.
(i) The admission to the first year of M.Com. program commences with the GU-ART test conducted by Goa University which is held in multiple rounds generally between January and April every year. This examination may be thus conducted even before the conduct of B.Com examinations.
(ii) After the declaration of results of GU-ART examination, the University announces counseling session for all the students having GU-ART rank. During such counseling session, candidates are given an opportunity to select the institution of their choice for admission to M.Com. programme.
(iii) Students desirous of taking admission to M.Com. programme in Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College of Commerce and Economics are required to make the choice accordingly. However, this choice is available strictly on merit based on the rank achieved by candidate in GU-ART examination and availability of seats in the institution preferred by the candidates.
(iv) The candidates are required to pay specified amount of fees for confirming their admission to M.Com programme in selected institution.
(II) Institutional admission stage
This process is completed at the institution level.
(i) Subsequently, after the results of B.Com examinations are declared, candidates can purchase the M.Com. programme prospectus from the college office which will provide further details on admission process and documents required.
(ii) The admission process in this institution is online at www.dempocollege.edu.in. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions and who have selected this institution at counseling stage are required to fill online admission form on the college website.
(iii) Candidates are then required to download and print the filled application form and submit the same to the college office alongwith balance amount of fees. With this admission to the M.Com. programme is complete.
